How to make a GIF from a video

GIF from a part of the video
A GIF is usually a few seconds, not the whole clip. Tell the bot which part you need — the way you'd tell a friend:
- GIF from 0:05 to 0:10 — an exact time range;
- last 5 seconds as a GIF — counted from the end;
- GIF of where the cat jumps — the bot watches the video and finds that moment itself;
- GIF from 1:20 to 1:24 and from 2:10 to 2:13 — several pieces glued together.
Didn't get the moment you meant? Reply to the GIF with a bit later or not that, where he laughs — the bot redoes it from the original video.
Combine it with other edits
One request can do several things at once — the bot applies them in the right order:

What kind of GIF you get
Telegram itself stores GIFs as silent looping MP4 animations — that's what the bot sends. It plays automatically, loops endlessly, can be saved to your GIF collection in Telegram and forwarded to any chat. A GIF has no sound: if you need the clip with audio, ask for a trim instead — cut from 0:05 to 0:10 — that one is free.

Limits and price

- Free plan: 5 videos an hour, files up to 20 MB. Premium: 15 videos an hour, files up to 500 MB.
- Finding a moment by description (“where the cat jumps”) uses the bot's video understanding — up to 3 such requests a day; exact timecodes have no such limit.
- Private accounts and deleted posts can't be downloaded — that's the platform's restriction.
Why a bot is better than a GIF converter website
