ClipSave downloads Pinterest videos as MP4: paste a pin link into the field above and the file saves to your device in original quality. Both full pinterest.com links and short pin.it links from the mobile app work. Free and no Pinterest account needed.
What you can download from Pinterest
- Video pins — regular videos from the feed and boards.
- Idea pins — multi-part story pins, including ones made of several video segments.
- Animated pins (GIFs) — saved as MP4 files, which are lighter and play anywhere.
How to download a Pinterest video
- Open the pin in the Pinterest app or browser.
- Tap "Share" → "Copy Link". The app gives you a short pin.it link — that works too.
- Paste the link into ClipSave and press "Download" — the video saves as MP4.
Why Pinterest won't let you download videos itself
Pinterest's built-in "Download" button only exists for images — video pins can't be saved with the standard tools. ClipSave fetches the source video file the platform serves to its own player and saves it unchanged, with no watermarks.
Download a pin via Telegram
Forward a pin link to the @vfixbot bot — the video arrives right in the chat. From Telegram the file saves to your gallery in a couple of taps, and you can immediately forward it or trim it in the built-in editor. More on the Telegram bot page.
Common issues
- Board link instead of a pin link. You need a link to a specific pin — like pinterest.com/pin/… or pin.it/…
- An image pin. If the pin holds a photo rather than a video, the image is saved.
- A pin embedding a video from another site. Some pins point to YouTube or Vimeo — copy the original link and paste it separately (YouTube is supported).
